Overview

Artificial intelligence is transforming every part of the business—from products and customer experiences to operations and the way employees work. While most AI learning programs focus on technology, prompting, or the latest tools, organizations are discovering that the greatest challenge isn't understanding AI. It's making the business decisions AI creates.

Advantexe's AI Readiness Simulation™ is an interactive digital business simulation that places participants in the role of a business leader responsible for introducing AI into products, operations, and customer experiences. Throughout the experience, participants navigate realistic business situations and balance competing priorities including innovation, governance, employee adoption, investment, and business performance.

Working in a risk-free learning environment, participants experience the consequences of every decision while building the confidence and business acumen needed to lead successful AI initiatives.

About the Simulation

Participants assume the role of a Product Business Leader at KnightSight Technologies, a fictionalai-sim-screen1 technology company preparing to accelerate AI across its products and operations. Following a strategic directive from the CEO to "put more AI into everything we do," participants must evaluate opportunities, respond to evolving business challenges, and determine how AI should be implemented across the organization.

Over two interactive rounds, learners face realistic situations involving product strategy, AI investments, employee adoption, legal and compliance concerns, governance, security, change management, and customer expectations. Rather than focusing on the technology itself, the simulation challenges participants to balance the business trade-offs every organization faces during AI transformation.

Every decision impacts both financial performance and organizational readiness. Participants receive immediate feedback showing how their choices influence key business metrics, including revenue, profitability, AI readiness, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, innovation, governance, and overall business performance.

Learning Outcomes

The AI Readiness Simulation develops the business knowledge and leadership capabilities needed to successfully lead AI initiatives. Participants practice four critical competencies:

  • Business Acumen for AI - Understand how AI influences revenue growth, profitability, customer value, operational performance, and long-term business strategy.
  • Strategic Decision Making - Evaluate competing priorities and make balanced decisions across innovation, governance, risk, employee adoption, and financial investment.
  • Leading AI Transformation - Develop strategies that encourage employee adoption, manage organizational change, communicate effectively across stakeholders, and build an AI-ready culture.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership - Experience how Product, IT, Legal, Security, HR, Finance, and Operations must work together to successfully implement AI across the enterprise.

How to Use the Simulation

The AI Readiness Simulation is designed to be flexible and can be deployed in multiple learning formats. Organizations may integrate the simulation into their LMS through Single Sign-On (SSO) for individual asynchronous learning, incorporate it into an existing AI or leadership development program, or deliver it as part of a facilitated virtual or in-person workshop led by Advantexe's experienced facilitators.

The simulation also works exceptionally well as the foundation for executive discussions around AI strategy, governance, organizational readiness, and business transformation.

Time

The simulation consists of two immersive business rounds that place participants in realistic AI leadership situations. Most learners complete the experience in approximately 60–90 minutes.

When combined with facilitated discussion, executive debriefs, business acumen content, and AI strategy workshops, the complete learning journey can be delivered in 2–4 hours, making it ideal for leadership development programs, management meetings, and AI readiness initiatives.

Audience

The AI Readiness Simulation is designed for business leaders, people managers, functional leaders, and high-potential employees who will influence or lead AI adoption within their organizations. It is particularly valuable for organizations seeking to build business acumen around AI while preparing leaders to navigate the strategic, financial, and organizational decisions required for successful AI transformation.

What Makes This Simulation Different?

Most AI learning programs teach how AI works.

The AI Readiness Simulation teaches how organizations work with AI.

Participants don't spend their time learning prompting techniques or comparing AI tools. Instead, they experience the real business decisions organizations face every day—balancing innovation with governance, productivity with employee engagement, investment with business value, and speed with organizational readiness.

Because becoming AI-ready isn't about mastering the technology.

It's about practicing the leadership decisions that AI demands.

AI Readiness Simulation FAQs

What is an AI Readiness Simulation?

An AI Readiness Simulation is an interactive learning experience that helps employees and leaders practice making business decisions involving artificial intelligence. Rather than simply learning about AI concepts, participants work through realistic business situations involving AI strategy, adoption, governance, risk, security, and responsible use.

How does the Advantexe AI Readiness Simulation work?

Participants take on the role of a Product Manager responsible for helping a fictional organization navigate the opportunities and challenges created by AI. Throughout the simulation, they analyze information, make business decisions, manage competing priorities, and see how their choices affect AI readiness and business performance.

What skills does the AI Readiness Simulation develop?

The simulation helps participants strengthen practical AI decision-making, critical thinking, business judgment, responsible AI use, and the ability to balance innovation with governance and risk. Participants also develop a better understanding of how AI decisions can affect customers, employees, operations, security, compliance, and business performance.

How is AI readiness training different from traditional AI training?

Traditional AI training often focuses on understanding AI technologies or learning how to use specific tools. AI readiness training goes further by preparing employees to make effective decisions about when, where, and how AI should be used. It helps participants consider business value, governance, security, compliance, organizational readiness, and human judgment alongside the capabilities of AI.

Does the simulation address AI governance and responsible AI?

Yes. AI governance and responsible AI are integrated throughout the experience. Participants encounter realistic situations involving data security, privacy, compliance, shadow AI, governance, customer trust, and organizational risk. They must balance these considerations against the need to innovate and capture business value from AI.

Who should participate in the AI Readiness Simulation?

The simulation is designed for leaders, managers, high-potential employees, functional professionals, and other employees who are expected to make or influence decisions involving AI. It can be incorporated into leadership development, business acumen, digital transformation, AI readiness, and enterprise learning initiatives.

How long does the AI Readiness Simulation take?

The core simulation can typically be completed in approximately 45–60 minutes. It can be used as a standalone learning experience or incorporated into a facilitated workshop, leadership program, AI learning journey, or broader organizational AI readiness initiative.

Can the AI Readiness Simulation be delivered virtually?

Yes. The simulation is browser-based and can support virtual, in-person, and asynchronous learning experiences. Organizations can use it with individuals or teams and incorporate facilitated discussion and debriefing depending on the learning objectives and program design.

Can the AI Readiness Simulation be customized for our organization?

Yes. Advantexe can tailor elements of the experience to better reflect an organization's industry, business environment, AI strategy, terminology, policies, governance priorities, and learning objectives. Customization can help participants connect the decisions in the simulation directly to the AI opportunities and challenges they encounter at work.

Why use a business simulation for AI readiness training?

AI readiness requires more than knowing how to use an AI tool. Employees need opportunities to practice judgment, evaluate trade-offs, recognize risks, and make decisions when there may not be one obvious answer. A business simulation provides a risk-free environment where participants can experiment with different approaches, experience the consequences of their decisions, receive feedback, and apply what they learn to real-world AI decisions.
