WHAT I DO AT ADVANTEXE?
I am a Performance Consultant with Advantexe. I split my time between the office and the classroom. In the office I stay up to date on the latest research in the areas of leadership and management development, change, innovation, and all things talent development as well as designing and customizing learning solutions and simulations for our clients. Out in the classroom I co-facilitate and deliver simulation-centric learning engagements as well as team building and change leadership sessions.
WHAT DRIVES ME IN MY WORK?
My best days are in the classroom when I’m working side-by-side with clients and participants. I get immense satisfaction when I feel that I’ve helped someone get better at what they do. It’s like the quote from Mark Twain, “"I can live for two months on a good compliment." - Mark Twain. A good classroom session keeps me going for a good two months!
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS WITH ADVANTEXE?
Designing sessions that really make a difference in someone’s work life. I’ve been privileged enough to be invited to work with intact teams that are struggling in how they interact and work together. Achieving breakthrough moments in these situations is something I’m extremely proud of.
FAVORITE PART OF WORKING AT ADVANTEXE?
Learning and growing every day. Things change so fast that what works today won’t necessarily work tomorrow – I enjoy that constant challenge.
WHY I COME TO WORK?
To help my clients get better at what they do and learn new things! I feel I’ve done my job when I see evaluations and participants say they learned something that they will apply on their job.
FAVORITE RESTAURANT AND MEALS IN THE WORLD?
When I’m at home in Philadelphia, take out from Jose’s Mexican Food is always on the list. During my travels, I still think of the meal I had at Ristorante Ai Tre Garofani in Venice, Italy. And in Shanghai, Heaven on the Bund!
