Last week I conducted a Business Leadership workshop for a group of high performing leaders at an industry association leadership development conference.  In preparation for our session, we asked participants to fill out a survey of their top leadership challenges for the balance of the year.

The #1 identified challenge, with almost 35% of the vote, was “gaining alignment.” As a result, we built the topic into the session for discussion, learning, and application.  This blog shares the ideas and output of the session and provides three practical answers of how to fix it the issue.

One of the most important aspects of having strong Business Acumen is being able to recognize and understand new ideas and trends in the business world.  One of the hottest topics in global economics right now is the concept of Cryptocurrencies so I wanted to provide readers of our blog with some ideas, insights, and meaning as it relates to Business Acumen from a corporate business perspective.

As you will discover in my explanation below this is something that we should all know about as there are potential disruptors that should be weak signals on our Business Acumen radars.

As we all know, leadership can be defined many ways and includes dozens of different terms including standards such as showing empathy, having resilience, developing teams, coaching for success, and building trust.  There are thousands of great books written on each of these leadership concepts that share ideas on how to be more effective leaders and how to make each concept a critical part of our leadership approaches and styles.  For the most part, all of the content is very helpful and we all can learn and continue to become better leaders by understanding them and practicing them.
